The SkillsUSA Pennsylvania District 6 competitive events took place on Thursday, January 30 and on Friday, January 31, 2025.

The student of the week for the week of January 27, 2025, is Mitchell Blaniar from welding. Mitch is a senior from Austin completing his third year in welding.

The health assistant student of the week for the second quarter is Alexis Morgan. Alexis is a senior at Kane Area High School and a third year student in the Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center (CTC) health assistance program.

The student of the week for the week of February 3, 2025, is Bryin Roberts from heavy equipment.

On January 30 and 31, 2025, representatives from the Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center traveled to Williamsport, Pennsylvania to compete in the District 6 SkillsUSA competition at the Pennsylvania College of Technology.

A group of enterprising students from the networking and engineering programs at the Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center recently experienced a thrilling hands-on opportunity beta testing a brand-new, in-development game from Gwoop.

As the school year comes to an end, multiple students in Mr. Bryant's networking and security shop at the Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center have earned industry certifications.

Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center announces winners for the digital portfolio contest.

On May 9–10, Mrs. Lana Brath and Mrs. Kim Mooney attended the 2024 Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness (OTDA) spring conference at Wyndham Garden State College.

Garry Strait (11th grade, OESD), Nathan Haight (10th grade, PASD), James Burks (11th grade, OVHS), and Zachery Abbott (11th grade, NPSD), all students in the networking and security shop at the Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center, recently earned their Network Pro certification.

On May 1 and 2 seniors participated in senior mock interviews. Students present their digital portfolio websites to various community members who spend the day with us.

Lane Crawford (11th grade, PASD) and Levi Howard (11th grade, PASD), students in Mr. Bryant’s networking and security shop at the Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center, recently earned their Digital Literacy Pro certifications.

Students and staff participated in community service for Earth Day. They walked through Port Allegany and picked up trash.

Students, along with individuals from Leadership McKean, had the opportunity to tour and explore four local manufacturing companies. ARG, Graham Packaging, Case, and Zippo welcomed the group and talked about the ins and outs of their work, as well as available positions.

Anastasia Penick, a senior from Port Allegany High School and third year culinary arts student, competed at the SkillsUSA state competition in Hershey from April 3 through April 5, 2024.

Dawson Hooftallen is an outstanding candidate for Student of the Week at Seneca Highlands CTC.
